 What services are available?

Targeted technical assistance which may include on-site assistance

 

Any Council may request training and technical assistance tailored to meet their specific needs.  Councils need to fill out and submit a Technical Assistance Plan Request Form and submit to ITACC Staff. The request form can be found below.

Information Dissemination

This service is designed to provide information from Council’s about a topic that is of interest to Councils.  Currently, ITACC has collected information about Dental Initiatives, Family Support, and Self Advocacy Staff support.

 

List-serve

ITACC hosts a list-serve for people to post questions, share information and network with each other.  To become a member of the ITACC list serve, please visit http://mailman.listserve.com/listmanager/listinfo/itacc

 

Rapid Response to information requests

The ITACC rapid response system is designed to provide Council members, council staff and executive directors access to information, technical assistance and training resources quickly.

Any Council member, council staff member or executive director can access ITACC rapid response system by calling
334-268-0245 or emailing Sheryl Matney at smatney@nacdd.org.

ITACC staff will provide a response within 48 hours of receiving the request. All rapid response requests will be tracked to determine emerging trends.

Issue specific teleconference opportunities

ITACC Staff will provide teleconference opportunities on issues that are of importance to Council members, staff and executive directors. 

 

What is the cost?

Technical Assistance services are free of charge to all 55 Councils.  If a Council is requesting services through a TA Plan, the Administration is interested in knowing what, if any, costs the Council will cover as part of the request.

Who selects the person (s) to assist the Council with their request?

A Council may choose contract staff or other individual (s) to assist them with their TA plan.  TA contract staff moderate the ITACC list-serve and provide or broker other technical assistance needs.

 

Are technical assistance services limited?

No.  If a Council has a need, please contact ITACC staff!  We are here to help all Councils!
